We're going to chit chat a little bit about some of the social media trends that we did during COVID. During lockdown, I should say those first three uncertain months that either brought you closer. Yeah, that either brought you closer together or tore you apart. Kenz: Lockdown. Kenz: Hmm tann: For me, it really was the closer part, I guess. But also my life changed but didn't because my husband was a first, whatever he's called. Kenz: Yes. Thank you. Jens: Same thing. Kenz: essential worker. Yeah. Jens: Yeah. Yeah, essential. tann: for not first responder. Yeah, I don't know. But anyways, he was essential to the workforce, so. Jens: No, essential worker. Anyways, the one that sticks out to me for us and we'll post this one on social media because it just popped up in my memories the other day. ⁓ We did the, what is it? Full house. Cause he was the only one, the only grandbaby. Just a couple of months later. tann: He was the only baby, not for much longer. Nine months later. Jens: Anyways, yeah, that was super fun and just it up on my memories ⁓ and I was just like, ⁓ my God, this seems like forever ago, but also ⁓ tann: Yeah. There's a few trends right now that I would like to try with you guys. Kenz: Yeah. Yeah, all of our listeners and our like family and stuff keep sending random things. Yeah. Jens: Yes, we keep getting sent them. things that we should try. Yeah. tann: Like three person trends, yeah. And we will try them. We just gotta get all get together at some point. Kenz: We will, yeah. Jens: Yes. When we're together, we'll take an hour and just... And if we are sent between now and the next time that we're together, We will try. We'll give it a go. Another big one that stands out to me is the one where you taped like a beer on the garage door and then pressed the thing and it went back. Yeah, and tried to chug it. I was pregnant. Nobody knew. So I dumped one out, rinsed it out, and put water in it. Nice. Everybody could probably tell because it wasn't foaming coming into my mouth. tann: ⁓ man. Kenz: Nice Everybody can probably tell me it's just bowling. Just my mouth. Like, everybody else's video. Yeah. We should actually do that. Maybe it was Thanksgiving. tann: Well, and Kenzie and Dakota just got back from echo. Kenz: That was the second year. tann: ⁓ see it's all mashing together. I just had Everly in 2020. Kenz: or maybe it was Thanksgiving. I don't know. I feel like it was illegal anyways. ⁓ Jens: I remember coming over to see Everly and you guys. tann: I don't know. Jeez gents, you're gonna get us in trouble. Shush. Kenz: Yeah, retroactively in trouble. Jens: We're here. We got through it. tann: Yeah. We're here, we're thriving, it's fine. Kenz: ⁓ I was on a lot. ⁓ That's when I of started on TikTok. Jens: Yes, started. tann: Yeah. Kenz: Well, it was like 2019, but and then the pandemic happened and then I was off work. And so that's all I did was cruise TikTok. And so I remember lots of trends and lots of songs and like, like the, you remember the board in the house board in the house board that song? Yeah. Yeah. Just like things like that, right? Like lots of cool things came out of people being stuck at home. Jens: the board in the house board in the house board. Yeah. tann: Yeah, because they were using it as their outlet to connect with the rest of the world. Jens: Yeah, that social connection they weren't getting. Yeah, that's when like a lot of influencers took off what they're influencing. Yeah, definitely. Kenz: Yeah. And that's when like a lot of influencers took off with their influencing career really. So that's kind of cool. Yeah. tann: Mm-hmm. Yeah, that was a cool time. Kenz: Yeah, if we can take anything away from it and call anything about it cool. The creativity that blossomed from not being able to, for some, not being able to go to work and... tann: He Honestly. Kenz: Grind, grind, grind. Jens: Yeah. tann: Honestly though, 2020 was one of the best years of my life. I was able to get married. I was able to bring everything safely into this world. Kenz: Yeah, for you personally. ⁓ tann: So looking back at it, it's like, it just made you slow down. Yeah. Jens: Yeah. Some good things happened in it. Yeah. Yeah, it really did slow you down and be like, okay, there is more important. tann: It kind of gave you like, yeah, take a step back and see what's important to you. And if that's one thing you can be thankful for, it's that because then you found out whether you were make it or break it with your partner too. Kenz: some perspective. Yeah. Jens: Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. Kenz: Yeah, for lots of people for sure. ⁓ tann: Yeah, which honestly is probably for the best if you if that's all it took great. Jens: Mm-hmm. tann: saved you a lot of trouble.
